Sorry for the late, late post......
That’s it! That why I played so dumb! The moon was FULL this past Wednesday night. I promised the players I wouldn’t go easy on myself so here goes. With over 16 players in attendance you KNOW the High Hand money has got to be over $20! So never over bet if you think you have HH! It does not count if everyone folds! Kurt played it correctly, earlier, he had QUAD TENS and checked all the way, won the 1st HH. I played mine differently …. HH was QUAD EIGHTS (Rick) at the time, I was on an inside straight flush draw, I needed a 7 of hearts on the RIVER to make a STRAIGHT FLUSH! The river was a 7 of hearts! I was shocked! The bet came to me, I figured someone had a flush and someone had a straight but I knew I had them all beat, I bet $1.00. Everyone folded, I proudly showed my Straight Flush --- 4-5-6-7-8 of hearts!!! My joy turned to sorrow as EVEYONE was quick to point out that I had just thrown away the HH money!! Rick was quick to thank me! Was it the Coors light? Was it "old-timers" disease? Was it the FULL MOON? I'm going with "all the above". It will not happen again, promise! The other dumb play I did was give away all my winnings in the last 30 minutes! I had 6 greens chips and several stacks of red and white with 30 minutes to go. Justin bets a green, I believe he is being a "Chip Bully" (he is really trying to tell us to fold, he has a very high pocket pair) Justin goes on a run of some of the best cards ever, I end up giving him most of my winnings!!! Again, Full Moon, COORS, etc. Oh well, I still came out ahead, 3 dollars. Justin came out ahead $100.00. -- Tyler still holds the record; $140.00. Thanks, Ronnie

WNBP September 24, Guy's Report
I was out of town this week, Guy wrote thr Blog Report...
Good crowd 14 including Spidey.
Chris was tired and crashed early.
Big O bought the pizza.
Big winner was Walter the new guy, friend of Karen's. Won $65 with just 1 buy in. Plays a lot of cash games locally. Kurt and I both lost alot. Rudy cashed out with $20 happy. Rick went out early no money. Joey, Wayne, Big O and Justin did well. Big winner in "no peek" .....
Big O won both hands. (50-60)
The first with a full house and the second with 7 diamonds and a straight flush....it was crazy.

I think that was all.
Hope that's info for da blog. 2 High hands AAA55, and AAA55 again I think.
Joey won the 2nd one, I don't remember who won the first. Kurt will know, he handled high hand money.
Late in the night:I folded 83 because Justin raised $3 on a board of KQ3 and sure enough, 33 hit. I would have had Quad threes but "no" I folded because Joey called him in front of me....
Thanks for the good report GUY! -Ronnie

With a lot of help we got everything settled! Thanks for your patience!
The cash games were a success also! We had 2 tables of cash games! I think we played until 3 AM! The tournament ended around 1 AM. I had a few people ask me about our Wednesday night game (WNBP) I can't remember all the new players I met but if you are interested in Joining us on Wednesday nights please email me and let me know, I'll add you to my WNBP mailing list, Most everyone at the tournament is already on my "tournament players" list. I tried to write down the names of players as they dropped out, I got the first 13 before I lost track, here goes.......
We took a bunch of Photos! See all of the pictures here……..

2nd out was Christopher I think Tyler had a boat.
3rd - Robert Rolfsen
4th - John Jupin -- Mater put him out
5th - Bob Heinisch -- Marla put him out
6th - Joey
7th - Ronnie -- I never won a hand!
8th - Rex
9th - Chris James
10th - David Mansfield
11th - Mark Marshall
12th - Erick Elliott
13th - Ann - she played well, she beat Kathy on the very first hand!
Mater said he also put out Ed Amalis! On the river of course! Mater had a big stack, he had a king High straight when Brad went all-in, Does Brad have the Ace high straight? Mater was on a roll, Brad must be bluffing! Mater called the all -in, Brad DOES have the ACE! Brad puts the Mater out!
I wish I had more stories, if you have any good stories from the night and would like me to mention it here just email me with the details and I'll add it.

Classic Matering
We had 15 players last night …………
Ronnie
Christopher
Mater
Tyler
Justin
Rick
Guy
Kurt
Brian
Joey
Wayne
Big John
Little John
Paul
Brad
Two tables full of fun and excitement! We had a classic “MATERING” at table 2, Joey got “MATERED” by Mater himself….

Mater had J-10 and Joey had 9-9, the flop came K-9-J so Joey has trip 9’s and Mater has a pair of Jacks. Joey bets big, several players fold, Mater raises, Joey comes over the top and re-raises ALL-IN, Mater calls. They show, turn card is a Jack, K-9-J-J that gives Mater three Jacks but It gives Joey a Full House; 999JJ. Not many cards out there to help Mater, but, the River is a TEN! That gives Mater a Full House; JJJ-10-10. Runner Runner River! Tuff one Joey, that’s a classic Matering! The hand was also worth High Hand for Mater. Joey got a little bit of revenge a few hands later, he had another Full House to Mater’s 2 pair.

Christopher said he lost a big pot on table 1 to Tyler, he was chasing a flush when He called Tyler’s “all-in”, didn’t get it, cost him close to $40.00!
Paul brought everyone fresh pears to snack on, they were delicious! Thanks Paul!
Rick is into wine making and plans to test it out on us WNBP players!
Results….
HH #1 Mater JJJ-10-10
HH #2 Brian and Ronnie QQQ-6-6
Tyler +34
Guy +33
Wayne +29
Mater +20 and HH #1
Ronnie +18 and HH #2

WNBP RV TRIP to TUNICA
There were only 4 people on board in the RV when we started out for Tunica last Friday, a light rain stayed with us all day but we didn’t let it bother us. It was Kurt, Brian, Christopher and myself. Guy had to back out due to emergencies at his job, same type thing for Rick. Rick and Guy made good on their commitment by paying their part even thought they didn’t actually go, Thanks you both for helping out, wish you could have made it. The 4 of us had plenty of room and plenty of fun. We watched a new “Vegas” movie on the way over. We had a small glitch on the drive over; a guy in a car next to us informed us that our right front tire was low on air, we pulled into a Tire and brake store and got it juiced up! I tipped the guy a ten spot and we were back on the road!

Christopher had an exciting hand at a 2-4 no limit cash table; Sitting with his mirror sunglasses he has pocket 10’s, he got to see the flop with no one raising (a rare event in my opinion) anyway the flop comes 5 - 10 – 5 so he had a well hidden Boat, action to Chris, he checks it, someone bets $35, Chris calls (slow). Turn card was an 8, Chris Checks (slow) same better bets $45 a player drops, leaving only 2, Chris calls (slow) River is another low card, maybe a 7, Chris Checks, bettor bets $65 (all-in for Chris) Chris Calls, all-in. Dealer shouts “show-um” Chris showed the Boat and takes the pot! The other guy had 2 pair.

Kurt had a nice hand also; He bought in for $150 at a 1-3 no limit cash game, the dealer dealt Kurt his 2 cards before Kurt even had a chance to sit down, a player says “all-in” before Kurt looks at his cards! Kurt sits down, looks at his cards, he has pocket jacks! Kurt says might as well, call! Kurt ends up with a boat and takes the pot! He had playing money for a while after that!.
Brian played in a $300+ tournament and made it past halfway before falling out. He got a warning during play for a rule violation!!! It went like this…..
Brian and one other player where the only 2 players still in when the river card came out, Brian had the “nuts” ace high flush I think, anyway, his had was unbeatable and Brian knew it was unbeatable, action on the other player, he checks, then, Brian Checks! Brian says he didn’t bet it because he figured the other guy would not call. They show, Brian Wins, but, someone points out the fact that Brian violated the rules by…..NOT BETTING AN UNBEATABLE HAND! The rule is ….if you have an unbeatable hand, you must “show aggression” that is bet if no one bets, or RAISE if someone does bet!. The idea is that you didn’t try to put a player out, therefore you must be teamed up with him and want to keep him in the tournament.
My big hand was a lot like Kurts! Same deal except I had pocket Queens instead of Jacks, I had to go all in with $100 to see the flop, so I did, unlike Kurt I didn’t get a boat! I got beat! I don’t even remember what I got beat with, prolly 2 pair. I was relegated to nickel video poker!
We actually played WNBP style in the RV Saturday afternoon! Some of us needed time to nurse hangovers so we watched college football and played 4 handed WNBP Poker at the RV dinner table. We didn’t have any chips but we had six decks of cards so we cut a couple of decks in half and used blue backs for quarters and red backs for nickels. We killed a couple of hours, at the end Brian and Kurt just handed me the bag o money and said put it toward expenses! I took it, it was my biggest win of the weekend!!! LOL. As you can see in this photo, we ALL wore our WNBP Shirts Saturday, we got a few looks.

Kurt made out the best of us, he didn’t lose as much the rest of us, he treated us all to a free meal at Shoney’s in Corinth on the way back, thanks Kurt!
We all had a good time, we didn't come home with extra money but we got to play a bunch. Got to watch all the HOOTERS GIRLS, Drink Girls and dancers all over the place! hope to have more people go with us next time, I’m thinking Spring ’09. RB

Brian found this info on "Soft Play" ....
While there are aggressive and less patient players in the gaming world of poker, there are also those who would prefer to be on the lighter side of the game with more helpful and beneficial gestures given to their opponents during the course of a game. This is essentially what soft play is all about. When two or more players compete in poker game, one of the players may decide to give the other player less of a hard time for different reasons. Because the other player is either a friend or brother, a player may soft play on him based on the subsisting relationship they enjoy rather than the rules of the game.
This is seen as an abuse of the game by some gaming houses and therefore, have enforced strict measures against players who engage in soft plays. The narrow context of a soft play is to be lenient or easy on an opponent at the table. A good example is not raising or betting against them. Let's assume that a player and his younger brother are the last 2 players left in a game. On the river, the oder one has the nuts and goes ahead to place a bet. If the player chooses not to raise, it means there is some "soft-playing" in that game.

Spidey
I think I myself finally came out to be the big winner! I know I had 0ver $35.00 at 10 O Clock! BUT we played to 10:15. I lost over 10 bucks in that last 15 minutes, most of it to Tyler.
Justin won the first HH with KKK99 and I think Christopher won the second HH.
Mater played for a while and had a couple of racks of chips, he got caught up in a big hand; Guy was betting BIG money on his 2 pair on the flop, Mater had 4 spades, King High with 2 cards to go, I ALSO had 4 spades, ACE High with 2 cards to go, that pot had over $40.00 in it……. Turn card, no spade, river, no spade, Guy takes it ALL with 2 pair, somehow Guy managed to give all that money back later on.
We had Spidey online for the second week in a row, it was great! We had a “FLOP CAM” a “POCKET CAM” and a “TABLE CAM” the CAMS did good, we talked with telephones but we had some problems, we will work it out. You can see in the photo below the pocket cam. just an old TV tray with a hole cut in it and a piece of glass on top, the camera is down under, we just place Spidey's cards over the hole so he can see them in Houston! The second photo is the Flop CAM, not shown is the table cam which gives and overall view of the table and players.

Heres the rundown…
