We had 9 players last night….

Ronnie
Christopher
Justin
Brian
Brad
Kurt
Rick
Greg Dennis
Spidey (via web)

This was our first try at having Spidey join us via the web and it was a success! Christopher linked up his laptop and web cam with Spidey in Houston, we also had a “overall” camera showing the entire table and players. We discovered we need a ceiling cam looking down at the flop, Spidey couldn’t see the flop so Christopher had to tell him what the cards were. The audio was good, we could hear Spidey’s comments fairly well, maybe a small delay. Christopher and Spidey also used cell phones to communicate. I’m going to install a “FLOP-CAM” for the next time. I thought it was great! Let me know if any of you players have any comments or suggestions. We all decided we could only do it when we have one table.

Spidey came out a whole dollar ahead, and since I staked him, he let me keep the buck! Thanks Spidey! Christopher won the first HH with AAA66, worth only 8 bucks. Brian took the second HH with QUAD 3’s! the final 3 was on the River, Brain had already assumed he was beat on that hand, someone had a Full house. Brian won $20 on that. Rick’s winning ways continued, he left early, knowing we would win it all back, given a chance. ;-)

I was one card away from a Royal! And, We had a hand that had 3 heart flushes, Brad, Justin and Greg all had Flushes, I think Greg won it with the King. Brian was the big winner, heres the rundown…

Brian +34 (includes HH cash)
Rick + a bunch
Brad + ? no notes on Brad but I think he came out ahead
Justin + 2
Spidey + 1
Christopher even
Kurt -8
Ronnie -10
Greg -15

Kurt's FLUSH

Just got back from Illinois (sounds like a CCR song) and stopped in Metropolis at Harris. They had 3 Texas tables going with 2 small and 5 big blind with No limit. Looked around the tables, saw each person with 4-8 stacks (100$ per stack) of 5$ chips and many also with 100$ chips and a few with 1-3 stacks (2000$ per stack). Minimum buy in was 100 but figured if I did not buy in with at least 200 I could not even play a couple of hands all the way. Pretty rough going for next 3.5 hours, some hands someone would just throw a $100 chip to see if I would call, just about lost all my money, and went all in twice and on the little I had left. Then I got three jacks and got my money back up to $248. Next hand I got an Ace and 7 of clubs, one of a few to call the $5 to see the flop, the flop had 2 clubs in it, then one guy bet $150 (Oh-did I tell you they all sounded like us on WNPB, knowing each other and what going on in their lives), so I decided to go all in with the $243 I had left. He called and said are you on a flush draw because I have the King and I said that’s good because all I have is the Ace. Another club came out and I pulled in over $500 in one hand but $248 was mine but still a good win for me. Played a while longer and cashed out at $393. Lot a fun for over 5 hours and won close to $200 but I guess Justin has almost done that on WNPB. -Kurt S.

Royal Flush

Joey had a Royal flush last night! That make 2 “Royals” for WNBP. James Mitchell had one back in November 2007. Joey was the big winner, he won the first HH with a Full House 333JJ. He won the second HH with his Royal AKQJ10 Diamonds. Big John won the third HH with Quad Jacks!

We had 15 players. Rick brought a new player; Chris Walker, works with Rick. Rick started out winning big and dominating table 2, he won a lot of it from his buddy Chris, Good Idea Rick, Bring in a new guy and take all of his money! Chris W looked like he was about to get tired of losing when he started to swing the other way, ended up ahead for the night, I think he will be back! Here’s the rundown….

Big John +26
Kurt +23
